HRFF BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mrs. Romona Kaloutie Ramkissoon is the founder and Chief Executive Office of Help and Restoration for Families (HRFF). Mrs. Ramkissoon has been involved in church and community services for more than ten (10) years. She volunteered at the Piparo Drug Empowerment Centre and is the Counsellor attached to the Reader Rabbit Kindergarten School. She also worked with the community police, several schools and the wider community by counselling children, adolescents and families on various issues.
Mrs. Ramkissoon has been married to Mr. Kishore Ramkissoon for thirty-two (32) years. Together they have four (4) children and three (3) grandchildren. They work together as a team to help those in need. Mrs. Ramkissoon is a final year student, pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counselling. In addition, she holds a Diploma in Christian Training, Certificate in Social Work, Supervisory Management, and Trauma System Therapy Approach.

Director
Mr. Kishore Ramkissoon has thirty (30) years of experience in the oil and gas industry both onshore and offshore. He presently holds the position of a Marine Deck Supervisor for an International Oil Company. Together with his wife, the founder of HRFF, and children, he is involved in charity work in his church and community. They work Together to provide the necessary resources to meet the needs of children and families. He holds Technical Certifications in Engineering, Construction and Management.

Director
Alaina Boochoon is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She holds a Masters degree in Social Work Management, a BSc Social Work with a Minor in Social Policy, and a Certificate in Speech and Language Pathology. Over the years she has sought to enhance her professional skills and has pursued additional training in Play Therapy through The University of the Southern Caribbean, as well as Sign Language through Deaf Alert. Along with a colleague, she co-designed the board game “Let’s Talk”, which was designed specifically for professionals to get teenagers to discuss feelings and emotions. Alaina has been a Psychiatric Social Worker with the Child Guidance Clinic of the South-West Regional Health Authority from 2008-2014. Presently she is working at the Children Authority Assessment Division. She has gained significant clinical experience during that time through her work with individuals, families and groups. She was instrumental in the planning and implementation of several projects for the SWRHA. Some of these projects included the revision of promotional and educational material for the Psychiatric department, workshops on surviving sexual abuse, bullying, parenting and self care for the professional. While Alaina is very passionate about Social Work, her other great passion is theatre. She serves as the Stage Manager and Secretary for Iere Theatre Productions Ltd, which is a group renowned for their commitment to showcasing the history, culture and heritage of Trinidad and Tobago. She has been actively involved in all of ITPL’s projects to date. She firmly believes in the power of the theatre as a vehicle for increased social awareness and positive change.
She has served in various portfolios; Region Supervisor in the Ministry of Local Government for thirteen (13) years, Volunteer at National Family service division, Accountant Mandingo Road Empowerment Group. (NGO) and Administrative Secretary at Friend’s Incorporated. (NGO)
Her passion is working with children and families towards the restoration of family unit, the protection and care of all children.

Director
Mr. Chris Ramlal is an Attorney-at-Law, admitted to practice in Trinidad and Tobago since 2011. He has served as a public prosecutor for approximately three (3) years, which allowed him to work with all aspects of the criminal justice system, including offenders and victims of relative criminal activities. Mr. Ramlal has been involved in many charitable organizations and events and was a youth leader in his church for five (5) years. He is also a public speaker and focuses on youth and career development. Mr. Ramlal is young and vibrant being with a keen interest in youths and a desire to help and uplift individuals.

HSEQ Consultant
Mr. Tulsi R. Dowlat has ten (10) years experience in the field of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE). He has worked in a diverse range of environments that include; oil and gas, hospitality, marine, manufacturing, industrial waste treatment and power plants. He has worked on many company’s Life Safety Engineering Systems which included but not limited to; installation, program, service and maintenance. He has expert knowledge and expertise on developing, implementing, certification, re-certification of STOW, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and continually searches for ways to improve n organisation HSE manage system.
Mr. Dowlat holds a BSc in Management from the Liberty International University, HAZWOPER/HAZMAT Train the Trainer, five (5) Engineering Diplomas from City & Guilds and a number of Health & Safety certifications.

Treasurer
Mr. Ray Cadogan is an employee at The First Citizens Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and works in the Cash Management Centre since August 2006. Mr. Cadogan has (9) years of experience in the financial institution, where his duties include handling funds for a national bank. In his spare time he also volunteers in the treasury department of his church. Through his professional and volunteering activities, he has gained extensive knowledge on finances and monetary management which makes him well qualified to help steer this team. He also possesses the necessary traits and qualities to ensure the transparency of this department.

Director
Mr. Paul Ramtahal is Senior Piping Designer at Massy/Wood-Group for the past 7 years. Mr. Ramtahal is skilled in Petrochemical, Piping, P&ID, Refinery, Gas FEED both on and offshore. Together with his wife and young daughters are involved in charity work in the community, The Ramtahal work together to provide the necessary resources to meet the needs of children and families. Mr. Ramtahal is a holds a Technical Diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Construction and Management.

Director
Ms. Tara Roodal was retired from the Public Service in March 2015, after 37 ½ years of service. Ms. Roodal worked as a clerk and cashier at the Judiciary, Magistracy. She later worked as a Social Welfare Advisor in the Ministry of the People and Social Development for more than 25 years. Ms Roodal is involved in various activities at the New Testament Church of God, especially in the Sunday School Department. Despite her busy schedule, she pursued studies in Social Work, Domestic Violence and Parenting at the University of the West Indies. Ms. Roodal is a single parent of two adult children and two grandchildren. Her love for people especially the underprivileged and venerable in society is the motivating factor for her volunteering at HRFF.
